Salima is half Afghan, one-quarter Swiss and one-quarter English. Born in Germany, she has also lived in Pakistan and is now based in London, England. Salima gained her Bachelor of Music Degree in London whilst studying with Tess Miller and Melinda Maxwell. Salima’s career credits include performances on television in 11 countries, national radio stations, and for live audiences in many countries worldwide. Salima has performed for the Queen of England at Buckingham Palace.

A versatile musician, Salima performs as a soloist and orchestral musician with chamber ensembles, chamber orchestras, symphony orchestras and in theatres. She has played in some of the finest concert halls and venues in the world. Salima was part of a classical crossover band, signed to EMI classics, which held the number one position in the UK classical charts for three consecutive months. Her biggest audience to date is a live television audience of 10 million.
